As a German academic (Diplom-Betriebswirt) and
after a management position in banking, Rudi joined
the department of retailing and marketing of the
Manchester Metropolitan University as a research
assistant and sponsored PhD student. He completed
his PhD in 1997 and was as lecturer (part-time)
at MMU.
From July 1997 to December 1998, he worked in
Budapest/Hungary first as a course director marketing
for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and then
as an assistant professor in Marketing at the
International Management Centre Budapest/Weather
head University and as a consultant for the business
school.
Rudi joined the University of Applied Sciences
Liechtenstein in 2000 as a Hochschullehrer/Professor
working first as academic director Private Banking
in the Institute of Finance and then as academic
director international management pgd/mba in the
Institute of Entrepreneurship. He is now associate
professor at Intercollege Cyprus.
Rudi has been a member of CIRCLE from its very
outset. He published on EU supported and other
research conferences and in international journals
and edited three books. He is head of the editorial
board of the World Journal of Management &
Economics and member of the editorial board of
the International Journal of Management Cases,
the Euro Mediterranean Journal of Business and
the World Journal of Business Administration

Vignali joined Leeds Met on 1
September 2003 from the School
of Consumer, Tourism and Hospitality
Management at Manchester Metropolitan
University, where he had been
the Consumer Section and Research
Head for the past three years.
Prior to this he was the postgraduate
diploma course leader in the department
of Retailing and Marketing. He
has written more than 50 articles
and books in the field of Retailing
and Marketing and is the editor
of two academic journals, The
British Food Journal and the International
Journal of Management Cases. In
the past Professor Vignali has
worked for Crown Berger Paints,
part of Akzo Nobell, and Benetton,
where he has held positions from
brand manager to export director
and developed distribution and
retail operations in Europe and
the Middle East.

Barry Davies - Western
Europe

UK.
Barry
Davies is Assistant Dean, Research
in the university’s business
school. He was educated at what
are now the universities of Bolton,
Central Lancashire, Lancaster
and Cranfield. After his first
period as a student in Bolton,
he worked in retailing with the
Co-operative movement and then
Littlewoods. He was then general
manager of a regional vending
and catering company, before returning
to study as a mature postgraduate.
He received his MA from Lancaster
in marketing management, and this
has been his field since. He taught
previously at Glamorgan and Manchester
Metropolitan Universities. His
current interests are in retail
service environments and decision
support in marketing.

BSc, MSc and PhD degrees at the
Graduate School of Economics and
Business Zagreb. Currently, he
is deputy Dean and associate professor
in the Marketing department, at
the same school. He lectures undergraduate
courses: "Marketing"
and "Marketing Research"
as well as "Customer Relationship
Management" and "Brand
Management" at the Graduate
School.
Prof.
Vranesevic is author of the
book "Upravljanje zadovoljstvom
klijenata" (Customer Satisfaction),
and co-author of the following
books: "Marketing",
“Upravljanje strateškim
marketingom" (Marketing
Strategy), “Marketing
planning”, “Customer
Satisfaction”, Istraivanje
trišta" (Marketing
Research). He is also author
of numerous scientific and professional
articles from the areas of marketing,
marketing research, customer
satisfaction, brand management,
etc.
